Lush mountain landscapes, fresh seafood, and thrilling exploration of Spain’s rugged northern coast await you in this exciting town. Explore Western Spain. When you charter a boat from Vigo, you’ve set up an excellent base for exploration of Galicia (the province Vigo calls home.) Take a Trip through Time. Vigo is an ancient city. It was once the northernmost point of the Roman Empire and you can still find traces of this heritage dotted throughout the town. It’s also home to ancient fortresses built on the sides of cliffs that were designed to prevent the threat of the Portuguese and British during the 16th and 17th century.

Watersports for the Bold. Although the waters off the Atlantic are a bit cooler than some of Spain’s summer destinations, Vigo is still a great place for some incredible watersports. Chartering a course north will take you take some of the best surfing beaches in the Atlantic while you are also excellently perched to make a trip South to explore the lovely shores of Portugal. Not only that, but the winds off the Atlantic also make very excellent conditions for windsurfing.

Set Sail for the Incredible Islands off the Coast. After you’ve enjoyed the buzz of central Vigo, head out towards the islands. Lovely white sand beaches turquoise waters await you as you Cities Island along with Playa de Rodas which has been ranked as one of the top ten beaches in the world for countless years.
